Cruel King’s Changed Heart..

Cruel King's Changed Heart - Good and Evil Short StoriesOnce there was a King who was so cruel and unjust that people in his kingdom yearned for his death. However, Surprisingly one day he announced that “He decided to turn over a new leaf.”

With this announcement he promised, “No more cruelty and injustice.” King kept his words and began to be known as ‘GENTLE MONARCH’. Months after this surprising change, a minister from his court plucked up all his courage and asked king, “What bought this change of Heart in him?”

King answered:

“One day i was going through forest and there caught a sight of Fox being chased by a Hound. That fox was able to escape to his hole but before that Hound had bitten into its legs and lamed it for rest of his life.

Later when i was going through village and saw same hound there. There the hound was barking at a man. Getting irritated by it man picked up a huge stone and threw it at hound, breaking its leg.

After going little far i saw that the same man was not gotten far and was kicked by a horse. This kick broke his knee and man fell to ground disabled for rest of his life. After kicking the horse began to run but fell into the hole and broke its legs.

Reflecting on all that had happened I thought, “Evil begets Evil. If I continue in my Evil ways, I will surely be overtaken by Evil. So I decided to change.”

After listening to king’s answer minister went away convinced that it was time to over throw the king and seize the throne. Immersed in thought, Minister did not see the step in front of him and fell, breaking his neck.

Cycle of Deeds always gives us Back What we give to Others. If we do Good to Others, our good will Happen, If we do Bad to Others, our Turn will also come.
